9Trees

9Trees will plant 200 trees in October 2024 to balance the carbon footprint of this event's attendees. From basic calculations this will cover their travel, food and stay.

  • The 200 trees will be native to the UK, specifically broadleaved and deciduous.

  • All saplings planted are grown in the UK and sourced from local nurseries.

  • Stakes and guards will be sourced from UK suppliers.

  • The trees planted will be maintained by 9Trees for 50 years.

  • Any failed saplings will be replaced by 9Trees during the first 5 years of their establishment.

They have a net zero commitment for 2030, a clear CSR strategy aligned with the UN sustainability goals, and ensure that they consider people, planet and community in what they do. They’re proud to have sustainability embedded within their business, as opposed to being a side event, which is demonstrated by the submission of their application to become a B Corp at the end of last year.
